you should allow people to build on it, but in limited areas. That way you can have both aspects, the man made and the wilderness, plus it would be quite cool to have little villages you pass through :D

you should make a little manmade scenery around it, but keep some natural scenery, and make it underwater at a point, or through lave would look pretty sick as well

Wonderful rollercoaster.
I think it would look good to put a couple small towns in.
In the video, at 2:30, a couple of houses and a shop maybe...
At 4:22 is overlooking a nice area to put in a town with a store and tavern.
