It's easy to parry the same guy multiple times in a row, it's hard to go out and parry someone else imo.

What I'm noticing add i watch this, is to ignore the build up completely and to watch for the follow through. The strikes are very realistic, meaning they step into the attack. Watch their legs as they attack. You'll see them follow through.

On PC its shift + right mouse button -- I can't get the timing down though, and always get hit.
One thing that could be tricky though is that light attack is left mouse (without shift), so you'd have to have shift down and release it quickly before the attack.

How do I do to always do the animation, because sometimes I hit the parry and my character does a normal attack, why ?

You do not need any item in left hand. You can parry with your bare left hand

Wow I'm an idiot. Literally throw most of your video game knowledge out the window when playing a souls game. I always thought you had to just block at the exact frame the attack lands. No wonder I was getting nowhere and gave up on trying like 10 years ago. God, I'm such an idiot. Lol
