I've had a black cat for 15 years. Her name is Tiki and her 16th birthday is next month. She is a sweet old granny these days. She's loving and was a diva when she was in her prime. Now she bakes biscuits on my belly when I take a break from work and sleeps most of the day after eating her meal.

My aunt found an 3 month old black kitten on the street. She adopted her, she's so cute, playfull and tiny😊 She's over 1 year old now, but she still looks like a kitten😅She has a VERY strong bond with her and me, but she's very shy to strangers😢Maybe that's a trauma or something like that

I’ve had black cats all my life. They’re sweet, silly, and clever. All the superstitions about them mean they don’t get adopted as much, and on Halloween, you have to be careful not to let them out because someone might just kill them. That’s how we got our first cat- someone decided they didn’t want her anymore on Halloween and dropped her off at a shelter. She was the best friend a little kid could hope for.

When I was a kid i had the sweetest black cat named BooBoo. He was really really sweet. He was a loving kind kitty and he didnt really get into any trouble either.

I wanted a cat back in 1993 or so and my current apartment was in a complex that required all cats to be declawed. I didn’t want to have a cat go through that, so I kept visiting the nearest animal shelter until a declawed cat turned up. Friendly, about four years old, pale green eyes and black apart from a tiny white patch possibly due to some past injury. A wonderful pet. Also in bright sunlight it was obvious that she wasn’t really black but had a tabby pattern, black and a dark brown. Close companion for over ten years.
