I am disappointed as I really thought Canada would win this game; however, congratulations to Guadeloupe. Canada really does need goal scorers. Canada also needs a lot more work before the next game happens. It is as though they are not a cohesive unit yet, but hopefully that will happen soon.

Herdman attitude reeks of arrogance and bravado. Don’t worry about what the fans expect. How about you create a tactical plan to win the game?

Simply putting a team forward is not going to win you games. Guadalupe had a plan. Fact is, how many loses for Herdman in the past several matches from World Cup on out? First it was ‘Concacaf Winner’ for topping World Cup Qualification to ‘We’re the Big Dawgs’ then ‘Kings of Concacaf’. To excuses ‘We play two semi finalists’, ‘We didn’t prepare well’, ‘The US didn’t play like themselves’.
The guy had an incredible run to qualify Canada for its first World Cup in 36 years but he may have run out of luck on the backs of a group of veterans who wanted it more but now can’t continue. Now he has to make key decisions on building a new identity and he’s lacking the capacity to build something new without the unpredictability of a long winding qualification process. Canada needs depth in all positions especially in the back and midfield. Apart from David and Davies Canada floor is low. It’s on the coach to build now but he can’t keep being himself. He’s full of it, as they say.

I think this just highlights how underfunded soccer is in Canada. It’s not the players fault but the only thing that can truly be said about this game, from the top to the bottom, embarrassing 🫣
