ILLEGY - Ad Augusta Per Angusta

Показать описание
This is the second experimental video that I directed with just a simple camera, hand handled.
The project was really challenging because I don't speak French. So I had to come up with a story and direct it while I was shooting.
I would like to thank Illegy for trusting me with his song
“Ad Augusta Per Angusta” and all the people that stayed all day, although the cold was mental and it was snowing.
My story begins with Charon, the ferryman from Greek Mythology. Charon was waiting for the “passengers” to cross them to Hades. A child is trying to give him whatever he owns in order to get him out from the real world. The reason for that is his unhealthy family. A mother that gives attention only to the older brother and the older brother with his turn, bullying the child. As the years pass by, the child becomes a man but nothing changes. He attempts one last time to see Charon. Charon understands that this soul is traumatized and he decides that it is time to cross by.
People like to believe in miracles. I like to believe in miracles. So the mother realizes that she is being unfair to this child and at the end takes his place to death. A symbolic twist to remember that the hope for a change is always possible.
