This is one of the coolest scenes in the entire first season of Classic BSG! The acting & special effects were all excellent!
Every second kept you on the edge of your seat! When I was a kid this show was absolutely mindblowing! I still love it so, especially in high definition!

Iblis did not want Sheba to explore the wreckage because she would have seen his fellow devils in there. Apparently, there were several such beings. But only Iblis had survived the crash and disguised himself as human. Their laser blasts disrupted the illusion and revealed his true appearance. At least, that is one theory.

He plays a devil like creature here, but this actor is also the voice of the Cylon emperor. I never knew it until I recently watched an episode with the Cylon emperor where he spared Baltar from execution and gave him his own Base Star to command.

Iblis' relationship with Sheba is anything *but* benevolent: he/it was "grooming" her to be a sorceress/witch, a member of its gang simply put- so it doesn't want to lose its minion- and when she begins to defy him/it, it moves to kill her in response to her defiance.

Was 4 years old. My favorite episode. I wish BSG and the original cast had gotten the ratings and funding to see the show to a good end. Not that Galactica 1980 abortion. Not even Lorne Greene could rescue that series.

Notice those strange "light fighters" that find them: well, in that case, and based on these canonical cases: "Count Iblis" really is a deposed dictator of the "world" of the angels; and now is on the run, after having been overthown long before that.
