Mother's Finest, 'Mickey's Monkey', live in Vienna 🇦🇹, 19May2022

The legendary FunkRock-Band "Mother's Finest" during their grandiose show in Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹, Europe 🇪🇺.

The three remaining founding members of the band, formed in 1970, are the singing couple "Joyce 'Baby Jean' Kennedy and her husband "Glenn 'Doc' Murdock" and "Gary 'Moses Mo' Moore" on the red guitar.

The couple's son, "Dion Derek Murdock", played drums and "Juan Van Dunk" on bass and "John Hayes" on second guitar as well as two ladies on backing vocals completed the band.

Saw them live back in the 70's on an outside stage after the Chattahoochee Raft Race in GA. Left a pretty big impression. Good to see them still doing it!

They've continued this tour over here in the US this fall - we saw them here in Atlanta in September. It was the first time I've ever seen them, or heard of them for that matter. I couldn't understand why a band like the Atlanta Rhythm Section would be an opening act for a band that I had never heard of before. Then Mother's Finest came on, and by the second song I absolutely understood. They're one of the greatest live acts I've ever seen 😊😊

"Mickey's Monkey" ? Why are they insulting that fabulous early 60's song of Smokey Robinson's? It was SUPERB music -- MUSIC, nb -- why does this onslaught of UTTER CRUD have the title "Mickeys Monkey"? It's an insult to the original song plus it leads gullible youngsters down the crud path for lack of hearing actual music. What incredible crud! Find a copy of the original Mickey's Monkey and have yourself a listen -- perhaps your very first listen, if you think the crud here is 'music' -- to what good rock'n'roll is, and what people with musical taste used to listen to. Sheesh, what crud.
