Just finished reading Norwegian Wood. Kafka was my first Murakami and I was glad that I got the taste of magical realism in the best possible way. Norwegian Wood, on the other hand is depressing, moving, yet remarkably beautiful.I just sat still for some time after I read the last page. I am going to hold this one close to my heart. Kafka on the shore was my first murakami novel.... It blew my mind.... His writing style immerses His writing also helps you to visualize a lot and his stories are something out of this world. He is the reason that i am in love with magical Looking forward to read more of his works

Murakami has this unique and recognizable technique with words that you'd instantly know "this is Murakami!!!". It's like he makes the mundane more interesting. His ideas, his thoughts reaches out to you in a deep, almost spiritual level.

One thing I wanna add is that you should only read Murakami's work if you're comfortable reading about dark themes such as loneliness, suicide etc. 😅

I bought all 3 books you suggested. I started with Kafka On The Shore and finished reading it bout 2 days ago and moving on with Norwegian Wood. So far so good.
