He did this job a lot harder than it needed to be, you don’t actually have to remove all of that 😂

I would say that's definitely a 2 wrench a out 3

Very thorough install video, but holy mackerel this looks complicated. I was thinking of buying the Eiback 2.0 coilovers so I'd get to skip the whole spring compression part to replace the struts, but even with that part eliminated, especially without a lift or air tools, I'd be afraid I'd forget where nuts/bolts/parts went to put it back together and even if I did remember, it would probably take an amature like me more than a full weekend to do the job and I'd have no truck to drive into work. Of course even simple jobs always take longer than anticipated, and this job is not simple, I'm sure the neighbors would have to cover their kids ears to protect them from all the swearing that would be coming from my garage. Unfortunately the alternative would be to have a pro do it, but that would be several hundred dollars on top of the already steep purchase price.

I like the idea of getting an upgraded strut since this is almost the same amount of work as a spacer. However, like they said in the beginning this is not a 1 wrench...you guys need a 5step rating system. No way I would attempt this at home. Maybe I was more adventurous back in the day to work on cars, but on my basically brand new truck...uhhg, not sure I'd attempt

When I did my Tacoma I just dropped the lower A Arm after disconnecting the sway bar and pulled the strut assembly. Is there not enough room on the Ford for this?

Where can I buy a new spring perch? My stock ones were welded to the strut/shock.

Does the front end need an alignment afterwards?

@americantrucks is there a similar kit you would recommend for a 2WD?

So the entire weight the spring is loaded up with is riding on a snap ring? Seems weak to say the least.

So they couldn't include a new spring perch, you have to use the old one, lame...
