Lenovo Smart Paper, Pre-Review Closer Look At The Upcoming E-Ink 10.3' Tablet (Still Not a Review)

Well, you and I are interested in learning more about the upcoming Lenovo Smart Paper E-Ink notetaking tablet, but the information is limited. I have asked Lenovo about some more details and waited for several weeks, but still no real clarification on any of the main questions. However, since I do have the device with me, I was able to test some of the things out, so that you can have a slightly better idea of what we can expect from the Smart Paper, or Yoga Paper (as it is called in the Eastern market) when it finally is ready to hit the market. So, let's check it out! :)

The fact that they sent it to you so early to find out your impressions and suggestions is amazing. That shows they really care about their end result before releasing it to the public. Crazy that the company cares about their costumers and the quality of their products. Hardly ever see that, usually eink products are a money grab for companies.

It sure looks like production hardware, not a pre-production prototype. Presumably they will release it when they have stabile software, then upgrade it over a period of time with over-the-net upgrades. Gives you some time to get "My Daily Organizer" up and optimized on it before the official release.👍

Hi, great pre-review! I live in Brazil and to get a 10.3'' e-ink tablet I would need to import it from China, it would need to be either the Yoga Paper (chinese version) or the Matepad paper. I feel like the lenovo one has a better display and there's less latency with the pen, but I don't know if the chinese version OS will be updated in the same way as the international one. Which one would you recommend?
