My dad had a 1998 v70 2.3L t5 with reverse intercooler piping and a short ram intake. He cut of the exhaust behind the catalytic converter and it sounded amazing

FYI if you own the 2.4-litre (non turbo) and the Volvo sticker on the timing belt cover reads "B5244S", this means you have the 170BHP variant.
If the sticker says "B5244S2" (with the extra '2' on the end) then you have the 140bhp the engines are identical, the only difference is the 140bhp is SOFTWARE restricted to 140bhp.
Get a remap to give you the full 170bhp.

I removed rear muffler and added simons exhaust tip on my S80 2.4i 170hp and now the top speed is 5km/h higher😂 and sounds more like V10 than I5

That is not just back box delete, this is also with cat delete, I have same engine and took of the back box off but iT is defently not the same

I have a V70 2.4 170. Have been debating between the rear box delete or doing the resonator. Did you keep the resonator on the car for this? And how is the drone at highway speeds of 70 mph (115 kph I think)
