Hey what's up everybody! This is just a quick video explaining the subtle differences in the way these PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells are labeled on Amazon and the PowerBlock website. In my review a few weeks ago I called the PowerBlock EXP 5 - 50 dumbbells' the PowerBlock Pro 50 dumbbells so I just wanted to take a second to clean it up and make sure that you guys knew exactly what the difference in labeling actually means. Let me know if you have questions in the comments. Love and peace everybody. Out!

These are Amazon Associate program links and I will receive a small percentage of income from your Amazon purchases. I appreciate your support. Vern.

They are thicker because they are 10lbs for two plates versus 5lbs for two plates.

the powerblocks that are not "metal" appear to be metal beneath urethane. I leaned the next part the hard way. the more expensive urethane on top of metal are not on top of metal where the rod screws into the plate. at that point they are simply screwed into the urethane, in other words in to plastic. after 10 years mine just fall apart. Perfect one month, plates falling off like peeling an union the next month. look on youtube and see I'm not the only one. so...who cares if something clanks a bit more if it lasts longer and is safer? only look to the ones that are welded metal.

Do you know if the sport 9.0 can use the new stage II? I know the urethane-90's can receive the pro exp stage II and III.

The pro 50’s have a noticeably bigger footprint the the PowerBlock sport 50 or Powerblock EXP. And the only difference between the sports & EXP models are the color (and of course make sure you are comparing exp vs non-exp models). Finally the sport 50’s are better balanced compared to the pro 50.
