The use of anthropomorphic animals in Rare Americans' music videos is always interesting.
In both Berlin and Ryan & Dave, it allows the main characters to stand out, keeping the focus on them.
In Cats, Dogs, & Rats, it helps to highlight the tribalistic nature of conflict between different groups, the differences in power and whatnot.
In Milkman, the characters turning into animals represents the their newly gained 'freedom' from the human world they have grown disillusioned to.
Brittle Bones Nicky is based on a real person, so the lack of animal people makes sense.
As for Hullabaloo, I honestly just think they needed another word that rhymed with 'renovations'.

After Gas mask was released we see Nicky, Alfred and James helping Lubo. On the right side of Alfred in the beginning of this video is Lubo after he got clean and on the left is James after he escaped the corporation

Sad to say a very common story for those involved in the mvd, or those who lived in Berlin in general. Thousands were seperated from their families and lovers, and given the scarce methods of communication, some were never reunited. Fucking grand story-telling guys. I love you.

Also props to your animator, they're bloody brilliant.
