I feel like you are comparing apples and oranges here. Your custom built was a massive project in which the truly heavy lifting work was outside the scope of the pre-fab. You re-did your deck(a massive amount of work), built a large pavillion and then installed a huge kitchen. The prefab is 10K for a grill, fridge and some drawers.

The pre-fab may be a good choice for a lot of people but I wish you had pointed out the obvious limitations(cost and customization) of the pre-fab.

Maybe if you did more work every day you wouldn't need therapy. I've worked on heavy farm and construction equipment for 18 years now and don't need therapy.
