Not much more needs to be said about the 1983 album Kill em All. This album redefined what was possible with Mainstream Metal. It inspired legions of Metal bands afterwards and it started Metallica's career as the most popular Metal Band of all time.

This is my favourite Kirk Hammett album. His leads are so fresh and inspired sounding. Metal Militia is the heaviest and fasted song on the album and it was the template for the bands later thrashy songs like Fight Fire with Fire, Trapped Under Ice, Battery and Damage Inc.

Nice work on the solo! How did you replicate the tone so accurately? I have seen several people play solos from Kill Em All, but none of them were nearly as close to Hammit's sound, or tone, whatever you want to call it. I'm assuming you weren't using a modified vintage mesa boogie triple rectifier, but a modeled sound actually attainable by mere mortals?

Fix the title, Mustaine wrote and played that solo on the album. Kirk did not
