Stevie Ray Vaughan born on October 3, 1954, is one of the most influential blues-rock guitarists of all time. He first picked up a guitar at age 8, despite originally wanting to play the drums. During his career, he recorded 5 studio albums, and his debut Texas Flood from 1983, became a classic. Vaughan was known for his incredible guitar technique and emotional style, blending blues with rock.
His playing inspired artists like Gary Clark Jr. and John Mayer. Vaughan collaborated with legends such as David Bowie, BB King, James Brown and Eric Clapton. Fun fact: Vaughan often used a Fender Stratocaster guitar called "First Wife," which became his trademark.
He won a total of 6 Grammy Awards, 4 for his solo work, and 2 with his band Double Trouble. Posthumously, in 2015, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sadly, his career was tragically cut short when he died in a helicopter crash on August 27, 1990, at the age of just 35. His influence on music remains undeniable and continues to this day.

No one played as good or like him in the world. His Blues/Rock style was incredible. He made his guitar makes tones and sounds no one else has.
