In this video, you will understand the terms Step, Increment, Attempt, Iteration, and Frame in Abaqus.
Long story short, the Step means the analysis procedure you specify to solve the problem. Each step can be broken into smaller parts which are called increments. The increments at which you select results to be written to the output database file are called “frames”.
Watch the video till the end to better understand these terms and also, "Attempt" and "Iteration".

I have problem, I am modelling a 3 point bending system. I need to applu a boundary condition of 200 mm on the centre. The displacement is at 5 mm/min. Now I am not getting what values do i need to put in Time period, Initial, Minimum and maximum increments. Can you please explain me that?
