Another cool fact about corn is it used to be MUCH smaller, about the size of your ear, there is a reason it is called “an ear of corn”

Where I grew up in California, we had a tiny native wild strawberry about the size of a fingernail. These tiny red gems had the most intense strawberry taste ever, and have forever spoiled me for the cultivated varieties. Sadly, development has eliminated most of the habitat where we kids would pick them.

I took cooking classes about a decade ago, we had to cut up purple carrots. Our hands were stained purple for days. There's purple potatoes too!

Heirloom carrots not only have different colors, they all taste different, too. The purple ones have a much more earthy, root-like taste and they will stain absolutely everything they come into contact with, except broccoli. Red carrots taste less sweet than orange carrots. Yellow carrots are my second favorite, only topped by white carrots. They are sweet, juicy and particularly good for salads.

Pineapple feels so tingly because it has tiny needles and acid in its fruit to protect it, ironically people started eating them because they liked the feeling

As an Italian, saying “pineapple is fine on pizza” and “ketchup is good on pizza” I am majorly offended.

Ketchup on mom's homemade mac n cheese is divine.
But putting it on Kraft? This is a sin and MUST be punished!
Respect the yellow powder!!

In my country we have three types of eggplants.
1. The original eggplant( the short white ancestor, ) we still grow them and they’re called JAKATO and they stay white no matter how long you cultivate them. There is one breed of the Jakato that will turn yellow when ripe.
2. We also have another eggplant called MORKABI which is round just like the jakato but bigger. It’s green when raw and will turn yellow or yellow and purple when ripe.
3. And of course we have this long purple one that is the most recent and we call them JIBLOX.
All have different taste but we generally prefer the first two so I don’t have much of a memory on the purple one’s taste. Haven’t eaten it in maybe 7-10 years. The second one is hella bitter when ripe tho so we always soak it before we cook. Turns dark brown too if you don’t keep it in water before cooking.

Apple banana kinda has a hint of apple and my favorite blue banana kind of has a little hint of blue but it’s so small you can barely see it and when you eat it it is so creamy blue bananas are also called ice cream bananas sometimes because they’re so creamy Which is really good

8:52 actually, that’s William III of Orange, who was king of England and Scotland for a while. The William of Orange being discussed is William I, who was William III’s great grandfather. The Low Countries were independent by the time William III was born (right into the princehood as his father William II had already died of smallpox by then)

We actually grew those white strawberries a few years ago, they were called pineberries and do actually taste like pineapple. We want to get the plants again, as ours were not fully established and we got a drought that finished them off.

I *love* both narrators on thug channel. They are both masters of sarcasm and have the perfect cross between dry humour and bad dad puns. Thanks guys! (Oh, and thank you *SO* much for staying human and not resorting to bots)

What about the wild strawberries we find deep in the woods in Canada? They are the same red color and shape but only the size of a peanut and are much sweeter and tastier than the huge store bought ones. Where did these wild ones come from? It's exactly the same for blueberries, and the blackberries are getting bigger too in the stores... The wild ones taste so much better than the huge store bought ones.
