Brooke Shields Dishes on Empty Nesting

Brooke Shields, the iconic actress, model and author of 'Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed To Get Old', sat down with Samantha Skey, CEO of SHE Media, to discuss her new memoir, life transitions and her perspective on aging.

When asked what the hardest part of being an empty nester was, Shields laughed as she replied, “being alone with my husband, being stuck in the house with him.”

“You know, it’s been like over 23, 24 years of [the kids] being first,” Shields continued. “To reintroduce yourself to your partner when so much has changed and so much is changed, and you know, couples change at different rates, it can be kind of scary. It can also be a time to reconnect, but you need to both want to kind of meet each other and be OK that you weren’t exactly the people you were when you first were falling in love. That can be a little scary.”
