the age range thing is to encourage people who feel like their hobby is "for kids" to keep enjoying themselves. legos kinda big as far as i know on the whole including adults thing, they have signs in their stores that says "adults welcome" and legoland has special times for adults to come in and make creations and show them off. a LOT of people will make fun so it had to be done. i dont build with legos personally but ive never thought of it as a kid or adult thing so i appreciate the steps they take to make people comfortable.
