I always find it hilarious that lorgar got literally everything he would have wanted out of the imperium. Emporer is now a God (or viewed as such), with legions of faithful followers reading his book and eradicating all heretics. Its just ironic that he's now one of the heretics.

Alt universe Lorgar was embraced Pastafarianism before the Emperor found him, and the Heresy never happened because he was way too chill to listen to Erebus. The Big E himself was a little concerned about the whole "noodly appendage" thing ("That sounds an awful lot like a warp entity of some kind") until Lorgar explained the joke, after which he got put in charge of using the FSM to wean newly recovered worlds away from misguided religious beliefs and set them on the road to scientific rationalism.

Of course, he also had a goatee, because alt universes are like that.

Spoken like a true fanatic; using sophistry to build a case for morality (subjective) to become a categorical imperative (objective). His inability, or plain refusal, to acknowledge the human, and not the cosmic horrors, as the relevant actors to define the morality he speaks so fondly of, is what makes him wrong.

Lorgar's entire problem is that he's great at sounding righteous while not actually communicating any real ideas at all. Making a stand-- for what? What virtues do you intend to bequeath? How is worth of 'your prize' determined? What exactly is 'moral darkness' and what were the morals that were supposedly defied? Like this all sounds like a speech you could nod your head like "yeah!!" to while understanding nothing of Lorgar's actual beliefs or intentions, filling in these blanks entirely yourself. But he sure sounds like a guy with something to believe in!
