Hi, Im hoping you can help me with a problem. I'm testing a don smith step down bifilar Tesla coil for overunity. I used a zvs powering a flyback with spark gap in parallel with primary capacitor also in parallel. The circuit has already been tuned for 30 khz with copper welding rods in the primary core. The problem is when I connect the primary coil to the parallel cap and spark gap combo the spark gap stops firing. When I disconnect the primary the gap fires. Both will not run at the same time. Do you have any idea why this happens?

You can keep the bulb on with a coil in the circuit. Not just a flash, run the signal through a primary like a Tesla coil and the field keeps the gas oscillating
