These are a different kind of competitions... the catalunya trial championship, has apart of the rocks and walls, also a very dificult turns, and is necessary to try to burnout... if the driver put the rear gear  he has a penality. I tink that now you will understand the driver actions.

@Jay Gordon  The European market has a diesel version of the car....oh how much I wish I could've gotten a turbo diesel Jeep! I like my pentastar one, but still, woulda either liked a V8 petrol or a 6cyl turbo diesel....

Its obviously a stock class competition, He was attempting to slide the rear end out so he could make the turn without backing up. And he is obviously a rookie give him a break. What matters is they are out having fun and being safe while doing so. And I loath that diesel Wrangler.
