The International Red Cross has warned that climate change poses a bigger threat than the COVID-19 pandemic. It has called for the world to react with the same level of urgency to both crises. A new report from the International Federation of Red Cross showed the world has been hit by more than 100 disasters since COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic in March 2020. The findings also revealed that Asia is the most disaster-prone region in the world. Over the past decade, 46% of all climate and weather-related disasters occurred in Asia.

I'm sure this is true but no-one seems to be mentioning the global rises in population and the subsequent tendency for people to live in vulnerable areas which would have been previously considered too risky.
