CLIP DESCRIPTION:
The Brady kids have a secret meeting to come up with a way to earn $20,000 to save their home. Alice (Henriette Mantel) almost gets engaged.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
The Brady Bunch Movie pays tribute to the 1970s TV show while poking gentle fun at it. The Brady family, led by father Mike (Gary Cole), still live in their suburban, split-level home and are still throwbacks to the era that spawned them. Eternally perky wife Carol (Shelley Long) is the perfect homemaker, while the kids' behavior is as wholesome as their loud, time-warp pastel clothes. Meanwhile, the greedy, selfish modern era swirls dangerously around them, embodied in next-door neighbor and real estate agent Ditmeyer (Michael McKean), who wants to buy the Bradys' property and turn the neighborhood into a giant mall. But no amount of money or prodding can persuade the Bradys to give up their home. Director Betty Thomas contrasts the overlit sitcom look of the Brady house interiors (faithfully recreated from the series) with real locations and natural grit for the modern L.A. scenes. The result is a satire that deftly spoofs the idea of staying true to old-fashioned values without ever passing judgment on those values.

When you say something and no one replies, but then someone says the same thing right after and people respond to them

I love the expression on Jan's face at 0:19 when Marcia announces "her" idea for the talent show. It's like Jan's whole world is ending! XD

I felt bad for Jan. She always gets the bad end of the stick, shoved into the background, while Marcia is in the spotlight. And to add insult to injury, Jan gave that musical group idea and no one was interested, but, when Marcia mentions it, everyone was on board.

Even the voices in Jan's head laugh at her. Poor girl.

I see by the comments that most people don't get that this movie was purposely made to make fun of the tv show. It's not an actual extension of the series itself.
It's about the 1970s Brady's living in a 1990s world and everything about the characters are exaggerated

this film is so true girls in the 70's really had beautiful long hair and they combed it 100 times a day!

The fact that Sam doesn't give Alice a wedding ring is most likely because he was aware that they were moving, meaning that he would most likely never see her again. I guess he gave her the bowling ball as a parting gift.

i realized they were moving in this movie but never did. 7 years later in the tv movie The Brady Bunch In The White House when Mr. Brady became president the ended up moving to Washington D.C.

If everyone hated Jan Brady so much, then why couldn't they just admit it to her face to begin with?

Did they seriously take all the furniture away from the Brady house? ANd shame on marsha for stealing Jan's idea. She did that on purpose as she's a BAD GIRL to Jan. They really seemed to make Marsha evil in those movies and Jan a little nuts.
