“I'll String Along with You “ was written by Harry Warren & Al Dubin for the 1934 film Twenty Million Sweethearts. JONI JAMES recorded it as part of her 1957 MGM LP, Sings Songs by Jerome Kern and Songs by Harry Warren. The album is available on CD as the combined albums Sings Songs by Victor Young & Frank Loesser/Jerome Kern & Harry Warren on Taragon Records.

I have not heard of her . I just heard the Nat King Cole version of this songs . Thanks for both versions Catman . Both are equally smooth, cool and wonderful.

As much as I like Nat, I prefer this smooth velvety version…velvety vocals kind of like the “ New York Cheesecake” of voices. At first, my tired brain fought the lyrics. Listening thru a few times, made me appreciate the sweetness of it all. I was not familiar with this artist until now. Much appreciated.. Thank you.
