Our tale begins on the primitive planet of Roak where Roddick lives in the peaceful and uneventful town of Kratus.

As a member of the village’s local “Defence Force” tasked with the protection of Kratus, Roddick learns of a mysterious disease that has broken out in the neighboring town. Those infected turn to stone, but continue to live on in a petrified state.

Roddick, along with his two friends Millie and Dorne, make their way to the neighboring town. Informed of a cure for the sickness, they head to Mt. Metorx where a healing herb is rumored to grow. When they reach the summit, the party encounter Ronyx and Ilia, who appear before them in a pillar of light.

Thus, the story of STAR OCEAN begins...

Never played the original so I don't have nostalgia for it, but I definitly prefer this opening over the original ( listened to that one aswell), its so good, it sounds like an anime opening from the early 2000's love it!

Kinda like the OG song better but this is also great. Maybe it’ll grow on me more. Also not sure what the deal with the border is but it’s ugly. Wish they just blew up the FMV like they did with the rest of them in-game.

Star Ocean had One Anime but unfortunately it only covers the first half of the Second Game's Story.

Great game, but would had the options of using all characters, I really wanted the winged ones, and feel a bit frustrated of my current party, but yeah is part of the adventure.

Great game but my only problem was that I'd have to play the game twice to interact with all characters because party limit and character unlock restrictions. I prefer one play through. Still, amazing game.
