in rhel7.0 firewall-cmd -- and press tab2x doesn't work, instead I'm using firewall-cmd --help it's the same ?

i want to open port on my cento6 server, ihave tried with iptables command: iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport <port-number> -j ACCEPT and many coomnads similar to this... but still port is closed!
please help :)
