The thumbs down are frustrated because they can't paint within the lines.

Someone please purchase “GhostTown in the Sky” in MaggieValley North Carolina. It was such an amazing placing growing up, it’s been a movie set, I hate to see it rotting away.

I give many kudos to you 3 gentleman. Last year spending a whole week in Tombstone I felt like I was in the old west. Standing where big names got to stand including my namesake Doc Holliday. Very surreal. I thank you for keeping the old west alive every weekend I get to feel the old west again. And can’t wait to be down there permanently.

The funeral advertisement used a lettering font called "ravenscroft". It was originally developed for Disney's Haunted Mansion ride. This is known as an "in-joke" or "easter egg" and is likely a hat-tip to the Imagineers that worked on the ride. The humorous gravestones are a Haunted Mansion gag as well.

The reality is that you are all artists. These painters are blessed with a talent of quality craftsmanship. You actors are blessed with the ability to endear us to you and consider you old friends. And lastly, you Santee, make all these videos wrk so well, every single week. Thanks so very much. I really enjoyed this episode too.

I couldn’t wait to make the 5 hour drive from Prescott down to Trail Dust Town with my wife and kids before. Now it’s really on my mind. Well done Santee and crew.

That was another great video. I remember the “old” Old Tucson and all the little pieces and details in the shops. I remember specially the schoolhouse, I think it was near the entrance. Lots of little details to see.

Awesome talent!! I used to work on a stage crew back in college and we made a Western themed “The Taming of the Shrew” (apparently the producer/ director really liked McLintock). It was a fairly large production in a 3500 or so seat opera house and it took about a year to make everything. We even built a life-sized moose head! I forget how many artists were involved, but it took about a year to complete, and I really wish the school made a dvd of the play. That opening gunfight... There were rumors that the armorer used heavier blank loads than they had originally intended... I think more of the audience should have worn their brown trousers!

Great music bed! Where'd ya get that fancy coffee cup? Yep, I'm sure the Tucson sun is no friend to anything painted. Those are some really talented guys.

I have been going to trail dust town for 20 years now and never took real notice of the detail of the props. I mite just go down there today and take an hour or so to appreciate it.

I figured it would take a lot of work in these old towns but it's good to hear from some who actually work in the art side. I've always wonder which was more harsh on the paint, Arizona Sun or the rain, snow and heat of something in Colorado.
