MSE 220 F13 at the University of Michigan

MSE 220 is the introductory course in Materials Science and Engineering. Usually this is a traditional lecture course. This past term we eliminated lectures, did not give exams or grade the homework. Yet, the students worked just as hard and learned more than in the traditional course. This video describes our approach and contains several interviews with students and the instructional staff.
