Chocolate Hazelnut Brownies with Caramel Sauce⁠

These decadent Chocolate Hazelnut Brownies made by @reclaimedhealthjayde a creamy caramel sauce are a perfect treat for Valentine’s Day. ⁠


Here is how to make these treats for the ones you love!⁠

Ingredients:⁠
½ cup cassava flour⁠
½ cup coconut sugar⁠
¼ cup cacao powder⁠
¼ tsp. Baking soda⁠
¼ tsp. sea salt⁠
¼ cup coconut oil, melted⁠
2 eggs, room temp.⁠
4 tbs. unsweetened applesauce ⁠
2 tbs. maple syrup⁠
1 tsp. vanilla extract⁠
1/3 cup @elanbio’s Organic Hazelnuts, chopped ⁠
½ cup chocolate chips⁠

Caramel Sauce:⁠
½ cup full-fat coconut milk⁠
¼ cup coconut sugar⁠
2 tbs. maple syrup⁠
2 tbs. coconut oil⁠
1 tsp. vanilla⁠
pinch of sea salt⁠

Directions:⁠
Preheat the oven to 350 F. ⁠
In a mixing bowl, combine cassava flour, coconut sugar, cacao powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Next, add coconut oil, eggs, applesauce, maple syrup and vanilla. Fold in @elabios’s Organic Hazelnuts and chocolate chips. Pour the batter into an 8x8 lined pan. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. ⁠

Caramel Sauce Directions:⁠
In a small saucepan, bring to a simmer coconut milk, coconut sugar, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla and sea salt. Let the mixture simmer for 8 minutes to thicken. Drizzle the brownies with the sauce. ⁠
