ESPN’s Rex Ryan claimed Deion Sanders could “be in play.” But Ryan was just throwing out ideas. He wasn’t actually reporting - because that’s not his role on ESPN.

Stephen A. Smith did his job as well - getting people (like us) to talk about the Cowboys and his wild idea: “I’m going to make people very uncomfortable here. I believe that the Dallas Cowboys should tank the rest of the season, get the No. 1 overall pick so you can draft Shedeur Sanders and, by the way, hire ‘Prime Time’ Deion Sanders as your head coach for the Dallas Cowboys.”

Cowboys Report host Tom Downey is STRONGLY opposed to both of those ideas. And he explains why on today’s show.

Deion Sanders has already said he DOESN’T want to coach in the NFL. Because he KNOWS he’s not as good a fit: “I don't have any desire or ambition to coach in the NFL. I have a problem with men getting their checks and not doing their jobs. I would be too tough as a coach in the NFL because I still have those old-school attributes.”

Bring Prime Time as the Dallas Cowboys Coach for next year would be exactly what the Cowboys need. A legend (a Former Cowboy) who knows Football from Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. He also knows how to connect with players and make them play with passion.

Good players won't play for bad coaches, regardless if their already on the roster. Take it from an experienced coach. That's why recruiting is so important in coaching, get athletes are recruited by good coaches from childhood. AAU, POP WARNER, ETC

I personally want Lincoln Riley as coach. He’s got connections to the Jones’s and he’s a taskmaster. He makes Dak better. I actually would love to draft Sheduer and let him sit behind Dak for at least 2 years. Give him the Jordan Love treatment.
