"You get the ability to lockpick"
"And that will open doors"
Nice, Mike. Opens chests, too.

I'll never get the yellow paint discussion. With how detailed and highly populated (with random objects) environments in modern games are, I'll take an indicator I can immediately latch onto over clicking the interact button while bumping into every edge of the area trying to find where I'm supposed to go.

The twist is that Nix is a secretly a jedi, he meets up with baby yoda and they create a long, profitable line of merchandise.

I used to chuckle at the yellow paint splashed everywhere in games. Now I'm playing Frontiers of Pandora and saying to myself "Sure wish there was some paint on these rocks so I didn't have to hop around like a moron trying to get up there." 😆

Ah, the all powerful yellow paint person. I appreciate their work. I get lost easily.

Andy: And there's Nix, who is like a space-
Me: Axolotl! I love Axolotls!
Andy: Space cat.
Me: ...those are not similar at all...😂

A Nix plush would be absolutely adorable

"uncharted in space" is the best pitch you could've given and now I want to play it even tho I've never cared that much about star wars

One thing that a lot of people who have played it so far has said was "it doesn't feel like an ubisoft game" so that is already enough for me to get it

I would love a Star Wars smugglers game kinda like AC Black Flag in that in addition to a good story you have side jobs you can do like smuggling stuff on or off a planet, or do a simple heist or transport passengers (some normal people, some dangerous) on the sly.

Andy: "First Star Wars open world"
Me: so, never played Star Wars Galaxies. Well, good for you.

Concerns I have are:
-Ubisoft “open-world” shenanigans. I don’t expect to be able to go everywhere from the start but how much busywork or same-y missions will there be?
-Open-world in general. Having an open world is only good if there are things to actually DO there and not just vast swaths of nothing going from one story point to another. Then it’s just boring legwork that may look very pretty but that wears off fast.
-Monetization. I do not trust any publisher to NOT do this so I’m waiting to see what they try to get away with (lootboxes, purchasable currency or in-game bonuses like XP boosts or the like)

As someone who loves platformers, stealth games and the classic Star Wars trilogy, this game sounds right up my alley. Even if I had an Xbox/PC I'd still wait for them to patch out all the major bugs (enemies seeing you from way too far away, through solid objects, etc). One review I read talked about just walking through one of the major cities and becoming immersed because of all the excellent detail. As a huge fan of The Witcher 3 and Dead Redemption 2, that damn near sold me right there, I tell you what.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I really want a good Star Wars open game and this seems to check a lot of boxes.

Wishlist for sale is the best approach to the AAA's, only tricky bit is navigating through the deluge of content and inevitable spoilers between release and when you actually end up buying it.

Transitions more seamless than starfield, better careful saying stuff like that or ubi will be calling this a AAAA

“Uncharted in Space” in a Star Wars setting sounds like a good game to me!

I can see so many pieces from the latest Ghost Recon and Far Cry. Neither is perfect, but I very much enjoy them both. And as a lifelong Star Wars fan, I cannot deny that's a huge plus. Good SW content has been in short supply lately.

I’m so excited for this
Also there is technically a reason that doors open when blasted, apparently companies do it as a safety setting when the door is busted for like fire safety reasons

Despite all the general misgivings about Ubisoft. I think Massive are one of their better teams and while their titles aren't necesarily groundbreaking they are always generally pretty fun, polished and nice to look at. This one has the benefit of being old school Star Wars style too.

I'd like to see a lets play of this. Maybe have Andy do stealth and Mike play with his usual sublety and finesse. See who does best kinda thing.
Also, is Andy wearing new trainers? I like them. Very smart.
