In this video we take an initial look at the new 23Zero Peregrine awning with 270° of shade and shelter for just about any vehicle with a rack for mounting. It also works with rear lift gates with the proper setup. We're looking forward to testing this one!

Here's just a quick first-look at the newly released Peregrine Awning by 23Zero USA. We're looking forward to putting this through it's paces in the southwest winds! NOTE: The fitment on the rear hatch can be adjusted for better clearance... we were just in a hurry for this one. Stay tuned for a full review...

23Zero makes great products, but all of those 270 shades are short and only have one setup configuration. We like having our 8x8 awning on the side (with optional room) and a 4x6 on the back. It gives us the flexibility to only use the back for quick lunches on the road. We use the back one 3x more often than the side. Looking forward to your full review.

Thats a really nice Awning. In the market for one so great to see this thing in action. Appreciate the video and look forward to more.

You just put to bed my chief concern between getting the 180 and the 270.🎉🎉

I have the Darche 180 like you, and my tape is doing the same thing, it doesn't leak at those but we get the rain into the front then poops out the back.

Nice, I really like it.

I'm a big fan of shade from sun and cover from rain, but I haven't pulled the trigger on an awning because of two reasons: 1- I don't have room on the side of my rack with everything else (hilift, maxtrax, shovel), and 2- every friend I know with an awning has had it destroyed in the wind. This one looks like it might stand a chance in the wind, so I'm anxious to see how well it holds up for you as you adventure with it.

Super cool! I look forward to seeing your follow up review after some use. But the fit and finish looks great.

I think to be a full 270 degree it should cover your full tailgate - like the Bush company 270max

Looking forward in the full review to hear the value argument compared to other awnings in the market. Let's hope this isn't another Garmin Overlander! Would also like to hear about parts support, not a question of if my awning is going to break but how easy is it going to be to get it fixed.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Can you open the trunk door all the way up with batwing awening? 🤔

So...what is your evaluation a year later?

I have the Darche 270 & Love it!! Over all I would say it is larger than this one though, especially the area at the rear which has better coverage which is important for me, as the last vehicle it was on had one large side opening door. (RHD so the door went to the right looking from the rear) )I could swing it out with a trailer on, having a pole each side of the trailer draw bar. It's about to go onto my new (old Camping Truck. A Suburban with Barn Doors) so I expect it will also have just as good coverage. I have had some issues with it, especially with the zip from all the dust we had here in Oz. I enjoyed watching the video though. Thanks.

Both sizes of the Rhino Rack Batwing's are significantly less expensive and cover way more of the tail gate imo. My buddy has their Dome 1300 awning and it allows him to fully open his hatch and be protected from the elements. I think he only paid $300 for it! We've been in some serious rain and wind with no issues staying dry.

i know im late in saying this... but, adding spacers on the under to lift it higher so that the door doesn't hit at all

@lifestyle overland. Great video. Do you know if you can mount this to your standard 2017 four runner sr5 roof rack? Also, I noticed that the rear door rubbed against the bar from the awning. Did you find a solution for that by chance? Thanks
