So I recently watched the live action The Little Mermaid and say what you want about the movie but this song was SO good I just had to edit it with our beloved red-head. I feel like this song really could be in the animated one as well so why not see what it would have looked like? So even if you didn't like the live action you can (hopefully) still enjoy this. And tbh, the live action movie isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

Man this is so seamless! One of the additions I liked to the remake was seeing Ariel reflect on how much she risked, only to have it thrown back in her face. That's the reality of chasing your dreams. Sometimes you could do everything you were supposed to do, and it still wasn't enough. Really hurts you right there.

I love the live action too. I thought this reprise was beautiful. Ariel is supposed to have a beautiful voice and yet even after it’s taken, we don’t hear her sing in her head about anything that’s happened with Eric marrying Vanessa and stuff

This is beautiful! Also the live action gets too much hate Hallie did an amazing job as Ariel and she got Jodi’s blessing plus the live action does a great job of addressing some details like Eric’s back story we even get a few new songs and versions of songs like the reprises and a song called For The First Time speculating Ariel’s point of view in her head ❤️

This movie gives the message the live action Lion King forgot to include: yes, things hurt and it’s okay to feel that pain; but then you have to get up and DO SOMETHING. You can either run from it or learn from it.

Ariel spent the whole movie letting things play out, experiencing the world but not influencing it. That gave Ursula an opening to slip in and take Eric. Ariel learned from her mistake and when the opportunity presented itself, she took her second chance and ran with it.

She’s CRAZY active in this movie and I LOVE IT!
