Breaking Barriers - Empowering employees through inclusion

This is a story of collaboration between Dow and Project SEARCH, a training placement program for interns with moderate cognitive and/or developmental disabilities, that aims to give them the skills to succeed in the workforce. With this film, we want to highlight how different ways of thinking and life experiences add value to the Dow culture by showcasing their philosophy of inclusion in practice.

The story focuses on Kelly, a Project SEARCH student, we speak to her coworkers, her family and her to learn about the impact she’s had on her coworkers and the ways she’s grown from this experience. We also speak to the leaders and teachers responsible for the program and its implementation and learn about the challenges and misconceptions around people with disabilities, and how their work is making a difference.
