A mic'd up Saquon Barkley turned down the chance to break his own rushing yards record to let the young guys play. In a video posted by the Eagles, Barkley urged coach Nick Sirianni to play the young players instead of going for his personal record. Barkley finished the game against the Giants with 176 rushing yards, just 13 yards shy of his career high, but chose to sit out the remainder of the game to give his teammates a chance to shine.
