Google Pixel 8 Review: 2 Months Later

It’s been two months with the Google Pixel 8. This is the smaller one, not the Pro which I reviewed right after Google released both in October. Obviously they’re very similar devices, and you’d assume that the experience would be fairly similar, right? But you know what? That hasn’t been the case for me.

I appreciate the specific address towards the 7-year update guarantee in relation to the battery life concern and subsequent availability of battery replacement options you found in your region, since in comparison where I come from, the European Union started to address the necessity for phone manufacturers' to rudimentarily employ such practices no sooner than in 3 years from now

I kind of wish they would bring back the fingerprint censor that were on the back of Pixels 1-5, those were the best.

When the Pixel 6 came out, reports were equally negative. I bought that phone and it was hands down better than any flagship i owned. Pixel phones with software integration by Google are amazing

Got one in England with Vodafone, offered a warranty including a battery refresh as long as I stay with them.

Picked up Pixel 8s for my older boys. They are liking them so far as it just works. Games, videos, etc. Hopefully they last awhile.

I agree with your statement of the amount of pixels being used in Toronto, it's crazy how many people I've seen on the train or bus using a pixel.

Glad a tech reviewer brought up the problem with the Pixels newer models. Had the same problem with my pixel 7 where the post processing is a hit or miss especially on a dim or low light environment. Heck even my pixel 3 take a more detailed and more accurate color than the newer models.

Great vid. I have been really happy with my Pixel 8 as well. Only had it a couple weeks so far, minimal complaints.
I grabbed a Galileo G8 as well, works like a charm 👍

Thanks for looking at the reg Pixel 8 and I have to say you were spot on with the strenghts and weakness of the phone . I found the battery life to be just ok or kind of poor being I'm always on data for work and yeah drops connection at times. The main camera is great and the speech to text is a joy to use and the call screening is perfect. I would say if you on wifi a lot this is a great phone to buy, but if your on data most of the time I would wait for the s24 and see how that is.

I love my 8 pro! I havent had any issues. This might be the phone i stick with for 3 years or so. I usually change phones every year

The signal loss and the selfie camera are also my issue in Pixel 7 😂 Can't believe that still hasn't been improved in 8. I hope they solve it in future Pixels.
