Uzaki-cha might not be an A+ anime, but it's not a bad anime to learn Japanese from because it's about ordinary people doing ordinary stuff.

But if your Japanese isn't good enough to understand Uzaki-cha, I will send you Japanese lessons where I teach you the kind of Japanese that real-life Japanese people speak today, which will also help you understand anime like Uzaki-chan.

"One review says that her body proportions were a bit off, it doesn't look like a standard Japanese person"

Part 3 Jojo characters: *nervous sweating*

I read the manga first, didn't find the show significantly different. Uzaki is fine. Also, short women with big boobs exist IRL.

I don't even watch Uzaki-chan but this is hilarious.

westerners: her body proportions are unrealistic, no woman looks like that he's in real life
japanese people: eh, the manga was better

Her name has "uza" which is short of "uzai" in japanese, meaning "annoying" ...
But I guess Yuta once said that anime is more popular in overseas than it is in their origin country

The only reason I love the anime is that she is *annioying* and not the type that irritates to hate her but the one that make you feel lonely if she leaves you or stop interacting with you

Your take on this anime was the most level headed i heard so far. It's difficult for me to believe the amount of people who are just screaming at each other for not agreeing with them regardless of their opinion of the show. Thanks to you i could grasp what the anime was about without having to deal with hot-headed fans or haters. Amazing video!

Interesting. I've always heard people around me suggest going to the movies alone is something looked down on. Personally I find nothing wrong with it, especially if no one else wants to watch a movie that you've been dying to see. Missing out on something you enjoy because those around you don't is plain goofy.

That っす contraction is really common with Japanese teenage boys. I dont think Ive really heard girls use it but the guys at my university spoke that way pretty frequently when talking to each other. Like そっすね and お疲れっす

Her being annoying is one reason I like the show lol but ye, I get their point she would be v annoying irl and serious people wont try to get close to her lmao

The whole motivation of her character was to be childishly playful to her Senpai in order to keep him from wasting his days being a friendless loner. She thought he had no friends for a long time and felt he deserved more so she was aggressively childish and persistent with him which is often seen as annoying because in most cases it is. As the anime continues their characters have both slowly begun to change to the point where they notice when they aren't themselves and start to miss each other when that happens. This is one of the best slice of life anime I have seen recently because it doesn't pretend to be something it's not. It's not some sappy love story, it's not some boy gets all harem anime, it's not some wanna hentai ecchi anime, it's an anime about a girl that whats to hang out with her Senpai for no other reason that to be his friend and goes about this in the only way she seems to know how, by being herself.
