Thank you very informative. My family's business has been a sole proprietorship for 40 years and doing research and consulting with attorney and my cpa to convert to LLC or S Corporation. It's very scary and exciting at the same time.

I filed for a LLC about twenty years ago and received it. I did this premature to creating a true structure for my business. That being said I never used my LLC for any reason and did not pay any annual taxes. I am about to purchase a new business and need to know the best way of going about it.
