Which one is the BETTER hydroponic system? RISE GARDEN or AEROGARDEN FARM

I have had both the two-tier Family @RiseGardens and the AeroGarden Farm Plus for a few years now. Getting one of these at home hydroponic systems is a big deal because let's be honest THEY AREN'T CHEAP! I thought it may be helpful to compare the two of them and high what I like and don't like about both of them. I compared the two systems based on 12 categories and I hope that this will be helpful in helping you decide which system is best for you. I don't declare a "winner" which would be MY recommendation if someone asked, but this is a highly personal decision. What is best for YOU will depend on the space you have, what you want to grow, how much you have to spend and a variety of other factors. I can give you information but ultimately the choice is up to you. #RiseGardens

Thanks for a clear, concise comparison of Aero and Rise gardens. I have two Harvests and a Harvest XL and am looking to go bigger. The one point of comparison that is missing is price. As of 7/14/24, the Aero Farm 12 is US$349, the farm 12xl is Us$449, and the farm 24 basic is US$449. The Rise base model is considerably more at US$ 799. Yes, there are more planting holes (up to 36) but they cannot all be used and the light height is fixed and less than the farm 12 or 12xl. Thanks again for the great reviews.

I am looking for a classroom garden, so I need one that doesn’t take up too much room but could grow a variety of plants. I have been binging your content! Keep up the very informative videos, they are great!

Best video on the topic I have ever seen. I have 2 of the AeroGarden Harvest and experience a lot of the frustrations you highlighted. I too am an heirloom snob. I do use seeds from Johnny's Selected Seeds in Maine, as well as Bakers Creek. I wish AeroGarden would improve their design and innovation, as they do have excellent customer service. Easy disassembly to clean and sanitize is a huge opportunity for both companies.

So glad I came across your video! I was ready to pull out my credit card for an AeroGarden but had no idea about the Rise Garden brand! They clearly BLOW AeroGarden out of the water for almost everything! Amazing video.

I just received the Rise garden base model (still in the box!) and your video has increased my excitement! Thank you! I am going to be watching more of your videos working with Rise. :-)

Cleaning can be made easier with a steam cleaner. Not only do you clean faster it also sanitizes also.

Thank you so much for the details on the comparisons of the two units. You are saving many people a lot of time and money. This is so informative and helpful.

I love your videos! To answer your question about the water meters, the new units don't come with them. Rise mentioned why in a video, summing up that it should be a personal choice mostly because they need to be calibrated and if they break or go off calibration they can mess up your readings. I personally love having a meter but I think they're trying to encourage use of the app. I currently only use a meter and don't rely on the app at all but I do like it for the plant organization visual in the nurseries and garden itself.

There’s so much information in your video! I’m new to hydroponic gardening and love fresh herbs. I bought the 24 pod aero garden. It fits nicely on my kitchen counter. It works well for me. I’ve been thinking about starting flower seeds indoors for my outdoor garden. I can’t figure out how to transition from water to the small plants to pots successfully. Do you have any tips or a video explaining how to do it? Thanks 😊

Rise needs to come out with adjustable light heights so I can finally make my decision between the aerogarden farm and the rise. 🤯

I absolutely love your videos :)
Thank you for the comparison. I was hesitating between the Farm and the Rise but seing the comparison confirmed that the Rise was the one for me.
Thanks again 😊

I have a container garden outside with quite a lot of variety but I live in south Florida and can only grow lettuces for a few months during winter so I’m really looking in to the rise system for the too hot summer months

I am looking into upgrading into one of these, probably the RISE, and have no experience with them. I have extensive experience with planted aquariums though and based on that will say that the small pumps in the aerogardens are junk and the larger one in the Rise is will likely last much longer. You can also replace it with aquarium or pond pumps for better prefilters, variable speed, overheat and run dry circuit protection, etc. Great comparison, I am glad to have found it. The last category should have been price though. RISE is a good bit more and the monthly plan thing is a little off-putting.

I have been stressed out and waffling with this decision, and just like that, it's suddenly clear! 😂
You are the real MVP! Seriously! Thanks so much for such a thorough review.

Great video. I’m leaning towards getting an AG Farm XL. However, there are aspects that I like about the Rise and the Gardyn.

I was waiting on this video! I like the farm xl plus just for the height of growing large items but rise just is soooo versatile. At this point I’m make the decision to eventually get both since I can’t choose obviously lol 😂

Great evaluation of both systems - I have the Aerogarden Farm XL and the two tier Rise and share same pros and cons

Would love to hear how you liked the BIG BLOOM for hydro (fox farms). Looked for videos but didn’t see any

Wondering if you put in consideration the vacation mode?

for hydroponics everyone should be using hydroguard. It keeps algea and root root from occuring. As well as keeping resivor slime down to almost nothing. Remember the hotter the resivor the greater the chance of bad things happening. You should install an air stone in the res to keep it aerated as that also helps keep things running smoothly.
Hydrofarm makes an ebb and flow sytem called the mega garden and it can really accommodate 6 big plants per unit. Get 2 of them then you are getting serious. All you would need would be an LED grow light which have become much cheaper over the years. You can get one badass system going for under 800bux.
