Moonpie Over Mobile New Year's Eve Countdown

Every year in the city of Mobile on New Year's Eve, a giant Moonpie(an icon of Mobile's Mardi Gras Season) drops from the RSA Bank Building on Royal Street in Mobile Alabama. A street festival and concert takes place before the Countdown. On this video you'll hear The Commodores narrating the countdown, albeit a little rushed.

It's ashamed that Mobile doesn't televise their New Years Eve Celebration. It seems that they have enough money to have the celebration, but not enough to televise it. What's up with that ?
