Optus must immediately pay reparations, to the sum of $10, 000 to all 10 million plus customers, who were subjected to their intense identification process, just for Optus to sell or lose all the customers private information.

Cyberattacks? It sounds like Klaus Schwab’s plans are like clockwork

And they are blaming their customers by saying they should be more vigilant.
Yeah but its your fault their information got out. Not theirs. After all they need to give optus, their information to become a customer.
Glad I am not one.

Instead of saying sorry why don't u compensate the people who's information you "lost" probably on purpose. Bunch of leaches

How are they contacting? Via the optus app?

so you are going to call roughly 10 million people... sounds like the perfect opportunity for scammers to start dialing.

“Stolen”… Sold, someone left a key under the mat perhaps. 🤔

Optus CEO shouldn't just say sorry and think the matter is over. Optus would have cyber security insurance and should pay all its customers who were affected by it. Advising customers to click on an App and then raise their concerns is pathetic and passing the responsibility to a junior staff member. CEO hasn't provided adequate and detailed information that is satisfactory to customers.

I wouldnt trust any of them, If Optus were unscrupulously trading your personal data, Contact details, Call lists, text messages GPS tracking information with every tom dick and harry this could be good cover.

Be vigilant Optus and these companies tells us all the time if only they practice what they preach some comment say stuff like this happens sure it does but these companies know the dangers of hackers

Get rid of the stupid CEO. Accountability needs to start at the top so that other companies take this crap seriously.

Optus should compensate ie: potential cost of identity theft =

Up to 50 hours reporting any potential damage

Average of $3, 000 spent dealing with the consequences

Refusal of credit for 28% of Optus data breach victims for applications that would of been approved otherwise.

Optus CEO should also make it up to us victims of potential Cybercrime by paying for an Equifax Ultimate credit and identity protection LIFETIME Subscription @ $14.95 per month!

They ask for all of your id to connect a phone, licence, bills in your name, previous history, it's like being vetted for access to the missile silo at norad just to have a number with the phone company, I really despise them for it, but you don't have a choice.

There you go OPTUS users, problem solved, you will be contacted.

I bought an optus prepaid sim the other week, went to activate it and they asked for my licence details and shit I was like yeah fuck nah. Shouldn't need all that for a prepaid sim.

We shouldn't let companies harvest excessive amounts of personal data. It's too big a risk.
