Media would make you believe every team the Mavs played against just defended poorly.
Truth is they threw everything they could including the kitchen sink at Luka when he was the point of attack, and had to live with his points, assists or hockey assists. So yeah, you can take out pieces of what he does, but he always has a counter.
And the longer the series is, the more he figures them out.

I love hearing the media try and figure out how to guard Luka. There isn't a way. If there was a way then an NBA level coach would've figured it out but no one has.

Being physical all game and getting covered by the refs, it has happened several times. If you do it enough you can take him out of the game but you need the officials to cover you since most times you will be fouling him 2-3 times per play just to avoid the shot.
Dort had it free to foul Luka repeatedly and sometimes even dirty, but as soon as the refs didn't cover for him the foul troubles took him out.
