Jana was so gifted and is a Wimbledon icon, overall an underrated player. She played four singles slam finals, but was really an incredible doubles player winning 12 slams.

I watched this then, and it was emotional. I am a big fan of Steffi but was so sorry for Jana. I'm glad she won it years after. I miss this golden age of tennis. Amazing times! Also, rest in peace, Jana.

I loved watching Jana back in the day! Tennis in the '90s was so good.

I saw the Steffi-Jana match live on TV as a 9 year old, and being the ardent Steffi fan I was, I cried and switched off the TV when Novotna was leading 4-1. After sometime, when I turned on the TV, the match wasn't over yet, and Steffi had equaled in the decider. Was relieved when Steffi won, but Jana's tears also were a bit sad to watch. Glad she won in 1998. RIP, Jana!
