Senator: 'Why Does Israel Have A Responsibility To Provide Aid To Gaza?'

Senator Tom Cotton (Republican - Arkansas) had an exchange with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who oversaw the disastrous Afghanistan surrender, about his statements that Israel has a responsibility to provide aid to Gaza.

"Why does Israel have a responsibility to provide aid to Gaza? Israel was the victim of an unprovoked, vicious attack on October 7th. [] We didn't provide aid to Germany and Japan during World War II."

Obviously, Israel has no responsibility to provide aid to a region it is currently at war with, especially when the vast majority of the aid has been stolen by the Hamas terrorists so far.

Well, we know you're not a history teacher Actually Einstein, the United States did offer financial support and assistance to Germany and Japan after World War 2. In fact, we built Japan up so strong. That they were an economic powerhouse in the 80s.

The US's aid to Germany totaled $4.3 billion from 1945 to 1952, and $2.2 billion to Japan from 1946 to 1952. The aid was primarily in the form of food to alleviate starvation.
