What’s the difference? (Coinbase vs Coinbase Wallet)

In this video, I quickly explain the difference between Coinbase and Coinbase Wallet + the benefits/drawbacks that each bring to the table.

The safest way to store your crypto is to use a cold storage hardware wallet. To anyone interested in this option, I recommend using a Trezor.

Because everyone keeps asking the question of... what happens if Coinbase goes bankrupt or Coinbase Wallet is removed from the app store:

In this theoretical scenario... If coinbase wallet was removed from the app store, it wouldn't matter for you as the holder of that wallet *as long as you know your seed phrase*. If you have that seed phrase, you can quickly recover your funds within a multitude of other wallet options. There are probably hundreds of options out there that would work. Also, keep in mind - using your seed phrase creates a copy of that wallet. It doesn't delete the original!

In general, keeping your funds in cold storage (i.e. a Trezor) is better than keeping them in a hot wallet like coinbase wallet.
