Satisfactory - 60 second game review

Satisfactory is a 3D factory simulation game set in space. You will find yourself on an alien planet employed by the ficstt corporation.

Your goal is to send advanced manufacturing items into space via the space elevator, that you will also have to build.

You will explore this massive open world, looking for different resources that can be extracted from the landscape. This can be done with the use of drilling and pumping machines.

These will then need to be connected to smelters, furnaces and constructors that will process the raw materials you gain.

Progressing will require you to refine and combine resources into other machined products all of which can be used to craft more machines, pipelines and items to help you advance.

Unlocks are gated behind tiers of resource requirements, that give you access to bigger and better machines.

The game is created by coffee stain studios from Sweden.

Currently available on windows through the Steam and Unreal stores.

This is much more than a 7/10 game. Reasons: play like you want. If you want to hand-craft most everything, you can. If you want to carpet the entire map with concrete and metal foundations, and build a hellscape, you can. The only limit is your imagination because node resources are unlimited. The best thing Satisfactory has going for it is an incredible reward system for automating previously annoying manual tasks, and it progresses to harder perceived difficulty just by virtue of giving you more you can do, not that you have to do it. 10/10 especially for an early-access game.

I absolutely love this game and have played 200+ hours the last couple of months. I would give it 8 of 10. There are still many things that could be improved with regards to trucks and trains. I hope they keep improving it.

I know you said 7 just to stir the pot. The game is an easy 9... I would say 10 but I would love to see more Caves to explore with monsters to really make use of all the cool weapons and bombs you get to make.
