Thanks. I was just about to plop down my money for this printer, but I'm going to research it a bit more. I understood that this model was supposed to work great right out of the box.

Damn! Now I wish I would have waited. I got the s1 pro about a month ago. The pro has a bed even smaller than my Prusa mk3S+. I still needed a larger bed and ordered the Artillery Sidewinder X2, a 300x300x400 bed that just came in Monday. My biggest complaint of the S1 Pro is the SD card reader only displays 4 pages of files. If you have more file, it ignores them and I have to switch out SD cards or erase files from the current SD card.

I found when I was using prusaslicer I've realized the first layer was better than when I used cura I think you may try using a different slicer

I do better prints with my Ender 3v2.
But I do believe that this will make just as good prints when correctly assembled and calibrated.
I really don't see a problem with the model being narrow tho. If that is your concern, you can print it on a raft.
I clean the bed with painters wash, which makes the surface slightly more rugged so the filament will get a good grip.

This was not my experience. Four days and I still haven’t been able to print the rabbit… I can’t seem to get the filament to flow and the height or ??? I don’t know. I’ve tried and tried and the best I have gotten is a mess of partially laid filament but when it got to 12% it stopped laying filament 😢😢

please tell me how rigid is the frame on the plus model and is the table rigidly fixed?

We just bought one, it has a faulty SD card slot. The UK vendor and Creality are dragging their heals with replacement. Absolutely terrible support. So we haven't managed to print a thing and nobody is willing to replace it or supply a new main board.
