This reminds me of some physiologists who claim everyone had a mental disease at some point in their life. Apart from being highly subjective, what else would you thinks they would say as they supposedly cure mental illnesses and want to spruik their services. They have basically becomes sales representatives and once you move into this area you often cause more damage than good.

What ugly truth? Hedge funds are accesible for rich people and they generaly don't beat the market. But that was never the point of those hedge funds.

Why should I pay fees or percentages to others, it's my money, it's my investments.
On an investment of e.g. £1, 000, 000 then a 2% fee would be £20, 000 per year and £200, 000 per 10 years.
It honestly sounds like (very) bad business.
